It’s old research, but it would appear that “the greater the airtime devoted to country music, the greater the white suicide rate.”
I understand that this was the motivation for Jello Biafra to team up with Mojo Nixon for a couple of albums.

It never ceases to amazing that I actually like country music. I really enjoyed and I love this music.

A friend said to me the other other day “I really like country music, not all of it but the good stuff.” I thought to myself, most music genres have really great stuff and really horrible stuff but few other genres seem to require this disclaimer.
