New beginnings

Well, I’m well and truly back from West Australia, having left my heart there. It was a great time with heaps of good wines and beaches. I spend at least a couple hundred dollars on wine and look forward to drinking the bottle of 2001 Jack Mann that I bought my brother for his birthday. Problem is I can’t see us drinking it for another 20 years.

Today is my last day as campaign coordinator for Global Trade Watch‘s Corporate Watch Australia campaign. In some senses it’s a bad time to leave as much of my hard work is about to come to fruition but it should be a fantastic introduction for who ever takes my place and I remain really excited about the campaign. I’m also staying on as a director of Global Trade Watch as my passion for the organisation and the issues it tackles remains unwavering.

As of next week I’ll only be working four days a week at the Health and Community Services Union in a position I’m really enjoying. I’m really excited about a lifetime of three-day-weekends and having more time to work on the Australian Centre for Democracy and Justice which has some exciting developments in the making.

…I also finally pick up my new bike tomorrow! (I’ll post pictures ASAP)

Good times!
