All things Linux
WEll, I’m back to full time work (albeit between two jobs) and am reminded, strangely, that full time work pretty well sucks arse.
However I am still using Ubuntu (Linux) which makes me particularly happy and it is going stronger than ever – discovering new wonderfullness every day.
Like yesterday when I discovered this blog post: http://lifehacker.com/software/ubuntu/hack-attack-top-10-ubuntu-apps-and-tweaks-195437.php, which ponted me to Amarok which I’d suggest is about the best music player I’ve come across – yes, even better than that iTunes piece of shit. Not sure if it’s available for PC, nor do I care.
So I’ve decided, in a futile attempt to convert others to Linux, that I would start to point out these things sorts of revelations to people.
The other one I recently came across was this simple way to mount an NTFS (Windows) file system. I do still have a dual boot with Windows XP as an option so it can be handy if you’ve still got files on your windows system.
