Between the spelling mistakes and typos on this web page, you'll find Goonanism. Not unrelated to the phrase "go onanism", Goonanism is my take on what ever I like it to be a take on - including Chuck Norris and Competitive Eating.

I would appear that iRiver is the winner - especially as I won't be traveling with a computer.

Hammy,

My main issue with the ipod is that it's battery is internal and you need to plug it into a USB to recharge it. You may be travelling with a computer, so this may not be an issue?

Two of my friends have iRivers, but the versions they have are now out of stock, never to be made again. They both love them, but one of them is very tech-minded and installs different programs on his to show album covers, time remaining, etc. It is more of a mini-PC than the iPod, but having said that, everyone else I know has some sort of iPod.

If I had the money, I would be looking for an iRiver, but either way you will have a repository for many, many tunes. And I will have some things for you to listen to.
