They defy all that is punk. My favorite band of all time is the Dead Kennedys - few bands are anywhere near as political. If you don't know them rush out and by their first self titled album. When I say punk, I mean real punk. Look at Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Jesus Lizard and so on. The only decent punk that I've heard released in the last five years or so has been Jello Biafra and the Melvins' last two albums - also really political. Please don’t call Greenday punk.
