Over at George Monbiot’s site he makes a few very interesting comments. The one I most enjoyed was:
Climate change reverses [Adam] Smith’s central dictum: that “by pursuing his own interest [a man] frequently promotes that of the society more effectually than when he really intends to promote it.” Now the interests of global society will be served primarily by restraint.”
